Back To School Help!

Hi All,
Can you believe summer is coming to an end and another school year is about to begin? Having a lot of mommy followers and clients, we know the true level of stress that “back to school preparation” can really amount to. While you’ll probably sleep better at night knowing you don’t have to entertain the kids for another hot and long summer day, the school routine can be just as much work…so much for catching a break! Between getting homework completed, juggling after school activities, school plays and projects, it really is A LOT to manage. Is it time for some wine yet?
Anyway, we’ve been totally crushing on some of these tips and ideas from fellow bloggers that can help simplify the day-to-day school routine or better yet, HAVE FUN with the kids! Check ’em out below.

Donate!
If you’re a fellow Bostonian looking to rid your home of the kids’ excess belongings, donate to Cradles to Crayons located just around the corner in Brighton, MA. Any donations made will go straight to children who are living in homeless or low-income situations. Below are some ideas for what you could donate:
old toys
unused or gently used school supplies from last year ie. backpacks, binders, extra writing materials
unworn or gently worn clothes
games or sports equipment

Be Organized!
How fantastic is this homework station that Brandy from BD Designs created?! We LOVE it. Talk about easy and inexpensive. Everyone has a cabinet or two that is not being used efficiently whilst having crayons and papers galore buried under “stuff”! So why not take a stab at following Brandy’s guidelines to have one amazing catch all area for all things homework and school? Thanks for this amazing transformation, Brandy! We love it!

Use a Checklist
Don’t be afraid to use a checklist when preparing the kids for the new school year. We love this one from Womanly Woman because it’s super thorough for when it comes to wardrobe shopping for your son or daughter. It’s so easy to forget to buy things like new rain boots or a new tie for a school dance as these are items that are not worn daily, but are so nice to have on hand when the time comes! Looking for something different? Scour the Pinterest search, “back to school checklist” and you’ll be sure to find the right checklist for you. : )

We hope these tips were helpful and thanks for reading!
