This time of year, our kids are full of nervous energy and excitement about going back to school. That energy can quickly turn in to apprehension and downright stress as the rigors of new course work, exams and project deadlines are set in place. This is a time when students need to be able to handle all that school has to throw at them and if possible thrive in that environment. We all want to see our children do well. To be able to manage and cope with the rigors of academic life, our children need to be at their best both physically and emotionally. Stress can take a toll on all of us and fighting nagging irritations and injuries just make things worse.
Relieving stress and strain on your child’s spine can make a world of difference in their academic performance as well as their enjoyment of their school experience. Chiropractic care in kids is one of the most rewarding and exciting parts of my practice. To see the relief and release one gentle adjustment can make to a child’s spine is magical. The effects it has on their ability to think more clearly, rest better, and just feel good is the most precious gift I can give to anyone, especially my younger patients. They have enough to worry about with grades, tests, projects, etc without having to fight against not feeling well. The benefits of chiropractic care in children have been recognized for many years. Most importantly, its not just about treating back pain; sleeping issues, energy problems, and the inability to concentrate are just a few of the problems that can be helped with chiropractic care.
