Summer Camp HELP by The Help: Boston

We made it through another New England winter! The good weather is here AND summer camp is around the corner! Oh, where to start? Here are some tips to help you get through (and don’t forget you can always call us to HELP you!):
What will your child need to bring? Check the list that the camp provides online. I always prefer to use a thin black sharpie for labeling (no labels to fall off and I don’t sew!). Don’t forget the towels, sunscreen, and water shoes.
Sleep away camp – now that’s a whole other PROJECT– Lists upon lists of things to do and items to buy and coordinate. Find a space in your home where not too many people go and use that space to begin organizing. You can begin to collect your pile of “stuff” that is required to send that precious one away. Don’t forget pre-addressed postcards already stamped for your young ones. As the mother of 5 boys who went to sleep away camp, even as they got older, I always pre-addressed cards for them so there were no excuses for not writing!
It’s a hectic time of year, but when your little one is off at camp, just think, you will be able to “take in the sweet smell of summer,” while writing to your little one, sending care packages, making summer travel plans and getting them ready for another school year.
