Additionally, he is experienced in guiding students through the college admissions process, including researching schools, writing admission essays, and preparing for interviews. Having taught middle school for over three years, he is an expert in essay writing, grammar, and literature. He has worked with students with a wide range of special needs and academic abilities, and he has developed curricula for gifted students as well as students for whom English is not their first language. He is currently pursuing his Master of Arts in Classics at Tufts University.
Andrew says: “Approaching teaching through my background in philosophy, I emphasize precision and thoughtfulness in reading, writing, and test preparation. Outside the classroom, I have trained in ballet and Ukrainian folk dance for a decade, am a member of the MIT Ukrainian Folk Dance Ensemble, and frequently dance salsa and bachata. I also sail on the Charles River and ski. As a U.S. Army combat veteran, I encourage my students to be disciplined, prepared, and resilient in their studies.“
