Ariana Ravitch

Ariana tutors students in PreK-6 in English Language Arts and Social Studies, and students in K-4 in Math and Science. She also supports students with private school and college admission essays, helping them to develop strong personal statements in order to showcase their strengths. Additionally, Ariana is comfortable working with students with ADHD, and she strives to ensure that all tutoring sessions are interactive and engaging. She served as a Figure Skating Coach and Group Fitness Instructor, and is also a certified Dance/Creative Movement Instructor. Throughout her work as a dance/fitness instructor and as an educator of young learners, she has written curriculum and taught lessons to students with a wide range of abilities. She is currently serving as a Curriculum Advisor for reading instruction for students in grades K-8.
Ariana says: “Hello! My name is Ariana, and my goal is to make learning joyful for all people. I started training to be a teacher when I was 14, as I was dually enrolled in a child development program while still in high school. My favorite part of teaching is uncovering and building on the unique ways that students approach learning. Additionally, I incorporate my knowledge of learning science, cognitive science, literacy, and arts-education theories to provide students with individualized and research-backed educational experiences. In my free time, I love to dance, ice skate, read, and travel. My most recent adventures have been to Japan, South Korea, Nepal, and Germany.“
