Carlos Greaves

Carlos has been teaching for four years and tutors students in grades 8-12 in math (through calculus) and English Language Arts. He has extensive experience in writing instruction in a variety of mediums and has published articles in publications such as The New Yorker. He has extensive experience preparing students for all sections of the SAT test. He is fluent in Spanish and developed content for Netflix’s Latinx-oriented social media channel, Con Todo. He also has an extensive background in Hardware Engineering, designing power systems and printed circuit boards.

His teaching philosophy is to help students learn challenging material by breaking it down in a methodical and approachable way. In his free time, Carlos enjoys playing soccer, hiking, traveling, and spoiling his cat, Luna.“
