He is experienced in teaching Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, AP Calculus, and a wide range of math skills to students of all ability levels. Additionally, he has supported students with attentional needs/ADHD, as well as students who are struggling with breaking down complex math problems. He is currently serving as an Academic Advisor at Northeastern University within the School of Business, as well as tutoring students both in-person and online.
Erik says: “I got into teaching from appreciating my 3rd/6th grade teacher, Ms. Bailey, who was theatrical and informational, but also knew when to be serious when we were out of line as kids. I played hockey, lacrosse, and golf, and still appreciate the sports today; I mostly watch hockey and golf, with some college football, too. As a native of New Hampshire, New England teams are my favorite, but I also have favorite college hockey teams outside of the local conference. I’ve been to mostly everywhere in the Caribbean, as well as a solo cruise to Europe a few years ago, and I aim to do more traveling outside of the country in the coming years. I have taught private boarding and day schools in PA, CT, NH and MA. I have two cats, Frankie and Jackson, who are brothers.“
