Sofia tutors students in grades 8-12, as well as undergraduate students, in English Language Arts (writing, reading comprehension, and literature). While studying at Harvard, she served as an Obituary Writer and Correspondent at MIT News, and then served as an Essay Strategist for students in Cambridge, providing admissions support. Additionally, she supports students applying for private school and college as they work on their admission essays, personal statements, and admission interviews. She is currently working as a Substitute Teacher in the Boston area. She enjoys developing personalized materials to meet the specific needs of her students.
“Sofia is an avid violist and chamber musician, and previously played with the Boston Youth Symphony as well as attending Greenwood Senior Camp for several years. She loves all things food, and you can catch her tasting cheeses at Formaggio or staging at restaurants such as Theodora in Brooklyn, NY. She is happy to help students feel self-sufficient and confident in their ability to engage their curiosity, meet challenges enthusiastically, and ask deeper questions about their learning.“
