He served as a basketball coach for several years with young students. David enjoys developing personalized curriculum for his students in order to meet their specific learning style and needs.
“I attended Washington University in St. Louis and studied cognitive science, graduating with honors. After moving to Boston, I started work with City Year Boston, which introduced me to teaching and working one-on-one with students; this, along with my background in cognitive science, informed my approach to tutoring which emphasizes the unique needs of each individual student as well as effective learning strategies. I believe that all students have the tools to reach a high level of education through focus, repetition, and quality instruction. My interests outside of tutoring include sports (especially basketball and soccer), hiking, and spending quality time with my two dogs at home!”
