Desmond has been teaching for over 16 years, working with students in English Language Arts and History (grades 2-12), Math (through Algebra), and Science (grades 2 through middle school). He has extensive experience working with diverse populations and is special education certified (including students with ASD, Dyslexia, and emotional disturbances). Additionally, he has worked as a personal trainer, commercial fisherman, and bakery owner.
Desmond says: “I love people and building relationships, which I feel is the foundation of any tutoring or learning experience. In  my spare time, I’m passionate about treasure hunting and have found coins from the 17th century. I love to read and have run  one marathon, The Boston, in 2 hours and 50 minutes. I was born in Anchorage, Alaska, and had a guest appearance on Law and Order while acting in NYC in 1999.”
