Bachelor of Arts, Chemistry and Physics, Harvard University, 2020
James tutors students in high school and undergraduate level in Chemistry, Physics, Math, Statistics, and German. He has also tutored other students at Harvard, and in the UK (preparing for the GCSE and A-level exams), where he grew up. He previously ran a chess club for elementary school students. He rowed for Harvard, and before that for the British junior team.
James say: “I am an upbeat tutor with a passion for academics that I try to convey to all my students. I aim to give students a holistic understanding of the material and the broad problem-solving skills and confidence to approach unfamiliar problems. I particularly enjoy finding the best way to teach a new concept, and try to tailor my approach to the needs and strengths of each student. In my spare time, I enjoy playing chess and listening to classical music, and I am a keen rower, skier, and rock climber.”
