She enjoys tailoring her individualized lessons to students with a variety of learning styles and has a background in developing project-based curriculum, especially in literacy and social/emotional learning.
Katie says, “I enjoy being outside, either hiking or walking the beach. I have recently taken up golf and I love fitness classes (I’m a Zumba dance fan). I’ve always known I wanted to be a teacher. I love helping kids gain a new understanding of a topic. Active, hands-on activities with a teacher who cares creates learner success. I consider teaching kids to read my superpower.”
