Here is some important information about Tremont School: “The Tremont School, a growing, young independent middle and high school, serving over 50 students from 20 towns across Greater Boston, is moving to 758 Marrett Road in Lexington.  They are relocating their five-year old program from the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox church in Weston to their own 16,000 square foot facility for the 2016-2017 school year.  The new facility will provide for growth and full development of the program.  Head of School, Bill Wilmot, says, ‘Finally, Tremont will have a home of its own for our students and teachers to fulfill their Tremont dream.  We will now be able to make our facility match our ambitious vision for education.’

Tremont School was started five years ago by a group of founding families who were looking for a new kind of school for their children.  They sought to create a school designed around individuals, celebrating that every student learns differently.  Seeing the demands in college and the workplace for 21st century skills including creative problem solving, collaboration, and adaptive expertise, the school embraces academic, social, and emotional learning as three equal foundations for success in life.  Since its founding, the school has grown from 11 students in fifth and sixth grade to 50 students in grades 5-10.  The school will add 11th and 12th grade in the next two years as it follows pioneering students through to graduation.

Tremont School is hosting an Information Session and Open House on May 16 at 7:00 PM at their new location, 758 Marrett Road in Lexington. For more information, go to www.tremontschool.org.”
