Tech Know Faire at Brookwood:
Designing for Purpose
Saturday, November 5
10 a.m. – 12 noon
Free and open to the public, this family-fun event for kids ages 4 to 14 will feature a variety of hands-on and educational activities.
Projects and exhibitions at the November 5 Tech Know Faire include:
Create an LED Flashlight – participants will construct and take home their own LED flashlight
3-D Printing – Brookwood’s Grade 6 Design GIRLZ club will have on display a variety of original 3-D creations used to solve real-life problems.
Microbes from the Soil — a collaborative exhibit between Brookwood’s science teacher CJ Bell and Endicott College biotech students
Maker Construction Booth — Brookwood Science teacher Ben Wildrick will teach a variety of fundamental tinkering skills. Participants will use hammers, clamps and other construction tools.
Young Inventor Project Space – featuring original hands-on projects by Brookwood Lower School students specially designed for students up through age 10.
