Barbara has been teaching for 20 years and specializes in math and science for students in grades 5-9. She has taught Physical Science, Earth Science, Biology, Genetics, Chemistry, Physics, and math. She has worked with students with a wide range of special needs, especially ASD and Executive Functioning Delays. Additionally, she taught health and fitness. She also taught abroad, in the Dominican Republic. She enjoys making her instruction hands-on and engaging for students at all levels.

Tutoring has provided the opportunity to spend time with her family and grandchildren, while still helping students reach their full potential with their academics. Barbara enjoys exercising and running, participating in the MS Bike Ride on the Cape (for over 20 years), climbing Mt. Washington over 15 times, and challenging herself with local road races.

Barbara has also completed mission work with high school students through her church community. Countries visited include Guatemala, Dominican Republic, and Trinidad.
