Brynn O’Connor
Education:
Bachelor of Science, Journalism, Emerson College, 2023
Brynn specializes in English Language Arts, and tutors students in grades 7-12 on writing and reading comprehension. She prepares students for the English sections of the SAT test, and supports students with private school and college applications, admission interviews, and admission essays. She is experienced in tutoring students with ADHD and students with underlying mental illnesses, and provides executive functioning skill support. She served as the managing editor at ATLAS magazine, wrote freelance articles for the Boston Globe and BOStoday, and writes content for Channel 7 News.
Brynn says: “As a tutor who once had a tutor, I know the importance of creating a welcoming and encouraging environment for the student. I prioritize establishing myself as a trustworthy and motivating guide as opposed to an instructor. I’ve found this allows the student to feel most comfortable and increases their retention rate of the concepts being learned. I’m a Boston journalist with a huge passion for the field of communication; writing, reading, editing, etc. I studied in Boston and live here now, and I love exploring the city and writing about the experiences here! I hope to be a reliable resource for you and your student in their academic journey.”
