He is very patient and understanding, and is experienced in working with students with a wide range of learning disabilities (as well as ASD, ADHD, and behavioral needs). Throughout his work with students, both in-person and online, he has developed personalized materials to engage all learning styles. He enjoys differentiating his instruction to meet the specific needs of each child. Additionally, he prepares students for all sections of the ISEE, SSAT, GRE, and MAPs tests, and supports students with test-taking strategies and time-management.  He’s also experienced and certified in instructing students in Music Theory.

Daniel says, “My educational philosophy is that the ideal way to teach is to best understand the student, because teaching is about helping someone learn. Instead of asking ‘How can I teach this person?’ ask ‘How can I help this person understand what they don’t know?’ My hobbies include learning new things in science, playing guitar, listening to music, skateboarding, sewing, drawing, and archery. I also enjoy learning Korean, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, and other languages. Additionally, I enjoy Python Programming and MATLAB. I’ve traveled to Beijing and Nanjing in China, Montreal in Canada, and Glasgow in Scotland.
