Dannie Bell

Education:

Bachelor of Arts in English, Harvard University, 2025

Dannie tutors students in grades 6–12 in English Language Arts, reading, writing, and the humanities. For the past six years, she has worked with students in a wide range of academic settings and has also supported undergraduates during her time at Harvard. At Harvard, she served as a Staff Writer for the student newspaper for four years and as an Assistant Music Director for the Dramatic Club. She is also a certified yoga instructor. Dannie enjoys developing personalized materials that engage her students and make each tutoring session interactive and dynamic.

Dannie’s approach to tutoring is rooted in curiosity, creativity, and connection. She began teaching because of her love of language and the transformative power of reading and writing, and how the right question or idea can open up a student’s confidence. As both a writer and musician, she brings creativity and attentiveness to each session, helping students find clarity in their thinking and strength in their voice. Outside of tutoring, she enjoys writing short stories and songs, singing in choral ensembles, practicing yoga, and exploring new books and coffee shops around Cambridge. She believes that when students feel seen and supported, they not only improve academically but begin to take ownership of their ideas.
