Joseph tutors students in grades K-12 in all subject areas, including English, Social Studies, History, Math, and Biology.  He also prepares students for the verbal sections of the ACT test. He has been tutoring academic subjects for over four years, and also has many years of experience teaching religious education classes.  He is experienced in working with students with special needs, including Down Syndrome and speech delays.  For three years he served as the director of CHANCE, a non-profit academic enrichment program for local first generation and low-income high school students.  He was also a staff writer and editor at the Harvard Undergraduate Law Review and a member of the Editorial Board at the Harvard Crimson, as well as other boards at Harvard.  Joseph has worked with students with a wide range of needs, including English language learners, and enjoys developing personalized curriculum to meet the specific needs of his students.
“As someone who required speech therapy as a young child, Joseph recognizes the needs of meeting students where they are, and it is one of the reasons he got into tutoring and teaching. In his spare time, Joseph is an avid reader, enjoying a variety of genres from history to poetry to fiction.  He also likes to hike and run.  The third oldest of six children, Joseph is well-equipped to handle a variety of personality types and learning styles.  He also enjoys following the Patriots and Red Sox, and keeping up with current events as well.”
