Bachelor of Science, Mathematics, Yale University, 2019

Michelle specializes in tutoring students in Math at all levels, for grades 7-12. She has been tutoring middle school Math, Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, and Statistics since 2016. She is experienced in supporting students in test preparation and study skills for math exams. Additionally, she has over 4 years of experience coaching recreational and competitive climbing techniques to young students.
Michelle says: “My personal philosophy when tutoring math or coaching sports is to teach the kids why something works, not just how to do it, so that they can have a deeper understanding of the principles involved. I started tutoring informally in early high school, when other students would come to me with math questions, and have kept it up since then. In my free time, I like to go rock climbing, ride bikes, and ski. Other hobbies include sewing (bike bags and other outdoors gear), reading science fiction, and learning about ancient Mesopotamia. No pets at the moment, but I have a few carnivorous plants.
