She is currently an assistant at a hospital in Boston, and is pursuing her M.D. She is experienced in working with students with developmental disabilities, anxiety, depression, and behavioral/emotional needs. She has also worked in hospital settings. Additionally, she enjoys developing personalized materials to meet the specific needs of her students.
Naomi says, “I’ve always loved teaching because I enjoy helping students build confidence and feel proud of their progress. I believe strongly in child autonomy and encourage students to take an active role in their learning while knowing they are supported every step of the way, an approach shaped by my background in Children’s Studies. I recently graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, where I studied Global Health, Children’s Studies, and Biology, and I currently work in a hospital in Boston. I also love to travel and studied abroad in Copenhagen, where I focused on childhood in Scandinavia and its healthcare system, which broadened how I think about child development and education. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy cooking and baking, reading, singing, spending time with my dogs, and exploring Boston!”
