Rochester writes, “I became passionate about tutoring after experiencing a frustrating encounter with a tutor who expected me to already know the material, leaving me feeling helpless. This motivated me to become a lab teaching assistant during my freshman year at Ole Miss, where I realized the profound impact that a little extra encouragement and guidance can have on a student’s confidence and success. Whether it’s through academic support or simply offering a word of encouragement, I love helping students move from confusion to clarity. In addition to my academic interests, I enjoy staying active through tennis and running, and I cherish spending time with my Australian Shepherd, who keeps me grounded. Having traveled abroad to provide dental care to underserved communities in Guatemala, I’ve gained a deeper appreciation for helping others and the power of education in transforming lives. I look forward to bringing my experience, compassion, and enthusiasm for learning to help students achieve their academic goals.
