Sara has been teaching and tutoring for 20 years, and has extensive experience in test preparation. Sara prepares students at all levels for all sections of the ISEE, SSAT, MAPs, HSPT, ACT, and SAT.  She tutors math, science (Biology and Chemistry), and English for students in grades K–10, including students whose first language is not English. She is vastly experienced in working with students on Executive Functioning Skill support and she is highly experienced in administering assessments (especially literacy assessments) to children in order to accurately gauge their needs and then create curriculum to improve their academic skills. Sara has worked with a variety of students, and has extensive experience in working with students with all kinds of educational backgrounds, including disabilities and special needs. She is a thorough teacher whose main objective is for students to not only grasp the concept needed to succeed, but also to understand it. Every single one of Sara’s sessions is catered specifically to the student’s needs. Each session encapsulates the student as a whole: focusing on both their strengths as well as the areas that may need improvement. Her fun-loving, caring, and bubbly personality make her easy to approach both as a person, as well as an educator. Though very passionate about her work, outside of work she can be found playing and relaxing with her two adorable boxer pups.
