Valentina Sandoval

Valentina tutors students in grades K-5 in all subject areas, including English, Math, Social Studies, and Science. She is fluent in Spanish and tutors students at all levels. She is currently pursuing her DMD at Tufts University of Dental Medicine, and has also worked with young children in a dental setting to put them at ease during medical procedures. She enjoys developing personalized curriculum to meet the specific needs of her students.

Valentina says: “I am a dental student at TUFTS with a background in international studies and pre-dental sciences, as well as a master’s in biomedical sciences. I was born in Costa Rica and recently moved to Boston from Utah. My passion for teaching began when I started teaching at a dental assisting school, where I enjoyed helping dental assistant students. I also have experience working with kids during service projects teaching them about oral hygiene. I also draw inspiration from overcoming my academic challenges to support and encourage others in their learning journeys. Outside of academics, I love traveling and exploring new places, as well as spending time with my dog, who keeps me active with our daily mile-long walks.”
