“I became a teacher in order to engage, inspire and form relationships with students and families. After college, I lived in Chile teaching English and staying with a Chilean homestay family, which was a fantastic professional and personal experience. In South America, I visited Patagonia, Machu Pichu as well as Buenos Aires. Since I enjoy learning languages, I try to incorporate learning Greek and Latin roots into our vocabulary practice, since they form the foundation of many English words. I utilize engaging resources including many interactive games, tutorials, and lessons to help students understand difficult concepts. Additionally, I have a good ability to break down complex ideas into easily understood lessons for students. As a parent of three children, I have found positive reinforcement and encouragement are the best strategies for building children’s academic and personal confidence. In my free time I enjoy playing tennis, running, reading, and spending time with my wife and children.”
“In the future we absolutely look forward to working with you and Greg Conklin again… When we had talked last August, you were confident that you had a solid match for us in Greg and you were 100% right! Greg was so wonderful with our sons – he was patient, corrected them in a very kind manner, was completely engaged, and supported them through this entire process. Greg worked very hard to relate the material to the boys (e.g., lots of sports examples!) and that really helped the learning process. Greg was also a total professional when it came to communication, schedule changes, being on time, etc. and we really appreciated that… We know that Greg helped to put the boys in the best position possible to do well on their entrance exams and we are so very grateful! When the next set of exams are upon us, we will be sure to loop back with you.” -Jessica G., Needham
“Just wanted to bring you up to date regarding our daughter’s grad school efforts. She was accepted to a grad school of her choice in the Boston area. The GRE tutor, Greg Conklin, you selected was a perfect match for our daughter’s needs. Thanks for your great service.” -I.Z.
