Sign Up For College Admissions Testing
If your son or daughter has either not taken the ACT or SAT or does not yet have the score needed for college admission, deadlines for fall registration are looming. In fact the deadline for the Sept. 10 ACT is Aug. 12. The fall test date for the SAT is October 1st with a registration deadline of Sept. 9. How do you decide which of the two tests your child should register for? Many college admissions officers recommend taking both of the tests initially to determine which one fits your child better. If your child will be taking either test this school year, go ahead and sign up! This will make sure that he gets to test at his local high school. If he waits, he may have to take the test at another high school or even a local college. The last thing you want on test day is your child trying to figure out where to park and where to find the testing site. Don’t create even more test anxiety by having to choose an unfamiliar site for testing.
