.With the holidays around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about people with food insecurity. People with food insecurity do not have access to sufficient amounts of food. Since it is the season of giving, please consider donating food or other resources to the following food banks.
The Merrimack Valley Food Bank is a community-supported, non-profit organization that provides nutritional food and personal care items to emergency feeding programs serving the low-income, homeless and hungry.
This food bank provides short-term food assistance for those in need who reside in Greater Lowell. They aim to provide a variety of filling, nutritious, and culturally-appropriate as well as other community resources.
The Greater Boston Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization in New England and among the largest food banks in the country. They are committed to increasing food distribution to provide at least one meal to every person in need in Eastern Massachusetts.
Dracut Food Bank’s mission is to provide short and long-term food assistance to Dracut residents who are struggling to put food on the table.
The New Hampshire Food Bank aims to feed hungry people by soliciting and distributing grocery products and perishable food. They also advocate for systemic change and educate the public about solutions to problems of hunger.
