Tui Sutherland: Author Appearance and Book Signing, Wednesday, November 6, 7:00pm, Druker Auditorium: Celebrated author Tui Sutherland takes us behind the scenes of her bestselling middle grade series Wings of Fire! Join us as Tui gives children and families a look into her writing process and learn things that even her biggest fans might not know about our favorite dragons! Tui will be available to sign books directly after her presentation.
Freestyle Learning Innovator’s Program (FLIP) Orientation, Thursdays, November 7 & 21, 1:00pm, Teen area: Experience what the library has to offer for the homeschooling community! Each month will have a different theme that is explored through book groups and maker concepts. This program takes place every 1st and 3rd Thursday. For ages 5-14.
Cool Stories and Snacks, Monday, November 18, 7:00 pm: Read aloud for older kids! Enjoy cool, strange, weird and wacky stories…and snacks! For kids in grades 2 and up.
Backstage Theater Performance, Tuesday, November 21, 6:00pm, Druker Auditorium: Our theater troupe has been working hard to bring the tale of Mabela the Clever to life. Come and enjoy our production of the classic folktale. This program was made possible by the Nancy Lurensky Swidler Memorial Fund. For all ages.
Writing to Hook Your Reader, Tuesday, November 26, 7:00pm, 3rd Floor Rear Arc: This program is open to 3rd and 4th grade writers. Participants will learn a variety of ways to start a story. Sometimes the trickiest part of writing is getting started! Join us for a creative hour where there will be plenty of time to write and share.
