Erin Youn

Erin tutors students in Math (grades 2-9), Science (grades 2-8), and English Language Arts (grades 2-12). She is experienced in supporting students through the entire college admission process, including admission essays and personal statements. She prepares students for all sections of the ISEE and SSAT tests. She is experienced in working with students at a wide range of levels, and enjoys developing personalized curriculum to meet the specific needs of her students.
Erin says: “Hello, I’m Erin! I have been tutoring and working with students since middle school and value how rewarding mentor-mentee relationships are for both tutors and students alike. I believe all students can succeed and possess the potential to pursue their goals and passions through education. In college, I published two scientific papers, conducted research in laboratories, worked as the manager of a student-run coffee shop, and tutored middle and high school students in English. I love traveling and spent a semester abroad in Spain. In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar, spending time with family and friends, running, and hiking. I also recently picked up backpacking and have hiked in the Arctic Circle in northern Sweden and to Machu Picchu in Peru. I’m excited to get to know your students and build both a rapport and rewarding academic experience with them!“
