Holiday Trellis Lighting

Where: Christopher Columbus Park, 110 Atlantic Ave, North End

Cost: Free
Join Mayor Martin J. Walsh in Boston to celebrate the 16th annual lighting of Christopher Columbus Park’s signature trellis. The park’s 260 feet of trellis are illuminated with 50,000 blue lights along with 14 decorated trees. Live music, refreshments, holiday treats, and giveaways will be provided. Don’t miss special guests Santa Claus, Rudolph, and Frosty!

Frog Pond Ice Rink Opening Day

When: Tues 11/20/18
Where: Frog Pond, Boston Common
Time: 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Cost: Skate rentals–$12 adults, $6 children. Admission $6, but free for children 58 inches tall & under
The Boston Common Frog Pond Skating Rink opens for the 2018-19 winter season on Tuesday 11/20. The Frog Pond features public skating, lessons, rentals, Frog Pond Café, and a warming area. Season passes will be available for purchase. Family Trees: A Celebration of Children’s Literature

Cost: $10 adults, $5 seniors, $3 children (ages 4-18); children under 4 and museum members are free
The annual “Family Trees: A Celebration of Children’s Literature” at the Concord Museum gives Concord’s renowned literary tradition a creative twist. The museum’s galleries will be filled with fanciful trees of all shapes and sizes, decorated with original ornaments inspired by acclaimed children’s storybooks and contemporary picture book favorites. Proceeds benefit the museum’s education initiatives.

Give Thanks for a Bountiful Thanksgiving Feast

Half Price at the Franklin Park Zoo

Black Friday shopping will be a zoo, so head down to the Franklin Park Zoo on Friday and receive half price admission. Warm up in the Tropical Forest as you burn off those Turkey Day calories and learn more about the Zoo’s animals during zookeeper chats. There will be an arts and crafts table and an education station, where guests can discover more about animals and the importance of conservation. This offer does not apply to online ticket sales.

2018 Lowell City of Lights Parade

Ring in the holidays in Lowell by attending City of Lights 2018! Take the afternoon to stroll downtown Lowell streets and enjoy the fun. From kids activities and live performances to holiday shopping, photos with Santa, AND the crowd favorite, the Annual Hot Chocolate Competition, City of Lights will make you feel merry. The daytime fun leads to the nighttime extravaganza, the City of Lights Parade and City Hall Lighting, which marks the Lowell’s official start to the holiday season.
